The annual elections of the Pakistan Press Club UK are going to be held on June 15, 2025. According to the details, the Pakistan Press Club UK is the only press club that has been holding elections every year for the past 16 years for the purpose of organizing democratically. This year too, maintaining its tradition, the annual elections of the Press Club are being held on June 15 in the capital of the United Kingdom, London. Chaudhry Naheed Randhawa has been serving as the Election Commissioner for the past several years, who takes full care of the transparency and impartiality of the elections. This year, about 14 candidates and 13 members of the Central Executive Council submitted their nomination papers for eight seats of the Press Club. Out of which, Musarrat Iqbal Raja has been elected unopposed as the Central President, Sajid Yousuf has been elected unopposed as the Central Secretary General, Arshad Rachiyal has been elected unopposed as the Central Senior Vice President, Arsrar Ahmed Raja and Zahid Noor have been elected unopposed as the Central Vice Presidents, Sajid Aziz has been elected unopposed as the Central Joint Secretary and SM Irfan Tahir has been elected unopposed as the Central Secretary Information and Broadcasting. A close contest is expected between Syeda Kausar and Atiqur Rahman Chaudhry for the position of Finance Secretary. In addition, an election will also be held among the 10 members of the Central Executive Council, out of which 7 members will be elected for the Central. Pakistan Press Club UK has approximately 185 members across the country who exercise their voting rights and elect their office bearers every year. This sapling was planted about 16 years ago in 2009 by the renowned journalist and founding president of the Pakistan Press Club UK, the late Mubeen Chaudhry, which has now taken the form of a tall tree and is the largest and most effective platform in the UK. Renowned journalists in the UK, Qaiser Imam, PJ Mir, Arshad Richial, Shiraz Khan, Musarrat Iqbal and others are among its presidents. It has a total of 6 branches, including London, Midland, Luton, Manchester, Yorkshire and Sheffield. The Pakistan Press Club UK has an agreement with the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) through its president, Muhammad Afzal Butt, while it also has an association with the Kashmir Press Club Mirpur, Azad Kashmir through its president, Syed Abid Hussain Shah, through which this organization strives to fight for freedom of expression and the rights of journalists on every platform. The results will be announced on June 15, with the start of the elections, and the newly elected officials will also take the oath of office. This historic and memorable event will be attended by a large number of people associated with the journalism sector, political, social, religious and business figures from across the UK.
