Islamabad ( T F M ):
A seminar titled “Occupied Kashmir and Occupied Palestine – What is the Solution?” was held at Empire Marquee, Islamabad, under the aegis of Tanzeem-e-Islami. The seminar was attended by political representatives, religious scholars, intellectuals, media personnel, and a large number of the general public.
In his address as chair of the seminar, the Ameer of Tanzeem-e-Islami, Shujauddin Shaikh, stated that the recent violent actions of the illegitimate Zionist state in Palestine have not only exposed the alliance of Hindus and Zionists against Muslims but have also unmasked the hypocritical face of those in the Western world who claim to champion freedom. He lamented that despite the existence of 57 Muslim countries, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and a combined military force of 34 Muslim nations, not a single country has had the courage to raise its voice for the people of Occupied Kashmir and Occupied Palestine.
In the keynote address, former Federal Minister and Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed remarked that on the one hand, Israel is speaking of Greater Israel, and on the other, India dreams of Akhand Bharat (Undivided India). The irony is that both are trampling upon UN resolutions. We want to make it clear to the world that we will neither forget our Kashmiri brothers nor allow the blood of the Palestinian people to go in vain. We stand with our Palestinian brothers and will continue to support them. The people of Pakistan have always supported the Palestinian cause—whether during the Arab-Israeli wars of 1967 and 1973 or by recognizing the PLO as the legitimate representative of Palestine in 1974. We will continue our moral support in the future as well.”
Former Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Siraj-ul-Haq, in his address, sought to awaken the conscience of the Muslim world, stating that there are 57 Muslim countries, around 7.4 million Muslim soldiers, and Muslims control 23% of the world’s economy. We have access to nine (9) seas, yet the Muslim world remains a silent spectator, showing no meaningful protest. Despite this, by the grace of Allah, unarmed Palestinians have shattered the dream of Greater Israel.”
Dr. Khaled Qadomi, senior leader and spokesman of Hamas, delivered a video address, emphasizing that the Palestinian struggle is not for the benefit of any single nation or for political power. He highlighted the sacrifices of the Palestinian people, stating that they have offered the blood of 60,000 shuhada, with 130,000 more injured and 5,000 imprisoned. Millions have been displaced, but, with the grace of Allah, we will emerge victorious. The alliance of Zionists and Hindus in Occupied Kashmir and Occupied Palestine will not withstand the resilience of Muslims, In Sha Allah. Regardless of the circumstances, we will continue to raise our voices for the freedom of Occupied Kashmir and Occupied Palestine.”
Muhammad Al-Iqad, a renowned intellectual and journalist hailing from Khan Yunis, Gaza, asserted that Palestine is not just a piece of land—it is the identity of the Muslim Ummah, a reflection of our beliefs, and the custodian of our faith. Protecting it is the duty of every Muslim. He condemned Israeli attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque, the oppression of unarmed Muslims, and the violation of human rights, emphasizing that even after raining thousands of tons of explosives on innocent children, women, and elderly, Israel and its Western allies have failed to suppress the Palestinian people’s spirit of resistance. Today, the people of Palestine stand as a symbol of determination, resilience, and steadfastness before the entire world.
Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Convener of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Azad Kashmir, stated in his video address that since 1947, the Muslims of Occupied Kashmir and Occupied Palestine have been fighting for their freedom, yet their voices continue to be silenced. He added that Millions have embraced shahadah, wounded, and displaced, yet the Kashmiri and Palestinian people remain unwavering in their quest for freedom. While these issues require political solutions, Hamas’s victory has taught us that diplomacy alone cannot yield results unless backed by power.
Renowned intellectual and religious scholar Dr. Habib-ur-Rehman Asim criticized the indifference of the Muslim world, lamenting that there are two billion Muslims in 57 Muslim countries, yet for 76 years, no one has dared to speak out against the ongoing tragedies in Occupied Kashmir and Occupied Palestine. He called upon the Muslim leaders and scholars to fulfill their responsibilities and stressed that simply renaming Kashmir Highway to Srinagar Highway will not resolve the issue—decisive action is needed.
At the beginning of the seminar, Dr. Zameer Akhtar Khan, a senior leader of Tanzeem-e-Islami, enunciated the history of Bani Israel in light of the Quran and Hadith.
The stage secretary for the event was Aamir Naveed, the Nazim-e-Tarbiyat of Tanzeem-e-Islami, Islamabad.
The seminar concluded with a supplication led by the Ameer of Tanzeem e Islami, Shujauddin Shaikh.
