According to details, most areas of Rawalpindi Cantonment Board have turned into garbage dumps. Garbage dumps are piled up at many places in streets and neighborhoods, including main highways. When Sanitation Incharge Nasir Hussain was contacted on WhatsApp to inform him about the situation, he blocked the number as soon as he saw the pictures of garbage dumps in the area. Garbage dumps placed on various important roads of Rawalpindi reached the main road from the footpath and started disrupting the flow of traffic. However, when the sanitation department staff walked through the orange garbage dumps up to their shoes, bad smell and dangerous diseases started emerging in the areas. Ansar has demanded from the CEO Rawalpindi Cantonment Board that all garbage dumps be cleaned immediately on a daily basis. This should be done so that the public can be protected from dangerous diseases and odors spreading in the area.
